Food That’s In When School is Out

Free Breakfast and Lunch Programs for Children

Learning doesn’t end when school lets out for the summer. Neither does the need for good nutrition, which is crucial for a child’s continued social and physical development. Stressing the importance of nutrition, summer food programs provide any child under the age of 18 with FREE meals. No need to sign up or apply for the program, just come to the school and enjoy tasty and nutritious meals.

Children under the age of eighteen may eat FREE breakfast and lunch at Tri-County Schools in Plainfield on the following dates and times:

Free meals will be served at the Tri-County School cafeteria, 409 S. West Street Plainfield from July 6 through July 24, 2015. Breakfast will be served from 7:45am to 8:30 am. Lunch will be served from 11:00 to 11:45 am.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, providing nutritious meals to children during the summer when free and reduced-price school meals are not available. The program is an important resource to help meet the nutritional needs ofWausharaCounty’s children.
