Back to School Bash Donations

The back to school shopping season has arrived! Back to School Bash committee members are preparing for the 15th annual Back to School Bash. The Back to School Bash is an activity of the Waushara County Department of Human Services, providing school supplies for Waushara County children in need. Last year more than 300 children were served.

The Back to School Bash is supported entirely through donations from individuals, businesses, civic groups and organizations throughout Waushara County. Donations are currently being sought for new or very gently used backpacks, school supplies or monetary gifts. Donation totes are available at the Waushara County Department of Human Services and the following community locations: Coloma – Coloma Restaurant; Wautoma – Anchor Bank, BMO Harris Bank, Chiropractic Health & Wellness Center, Shopko and Wautoma Library; Wild Rose – Farmers State Bank, Grace Church, Larson Co-op, Mt. Morris Lutheran Church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, West Holden Lutheran Church, and the Wild Rose Presbyterian Church. Monetary gifts can be made payable to Waushara County DHS-Back to School Bash, P.O. Box 1230 Wautoma, WI  54982.

The Back to School Bash will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the basement demonstration room of the Waushara County Courthouse. School supplies will be distributed from 8-11am on a first-come first-serve basis.  To offset program costs, $2.00 per backpack fee will be collected. Proof of residency is also required.
