If you live in Waushara County, have a child attending a local school, and need help purchasing school supplies for the upcoming school year, plan to attend the 15th annual Back to School Bash. The Back to School Bash will be held on Saturday, August 20th from 8 – 11am in the Demonstration Room (Entrance H) of the Waushara County Courthouse – 209 S. Saint Marie Street – Wautoma. School supplies are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis with a modest fee of $2 per back pack, used to offset program costs. Parents must be present and bring proof of family residency along with proof of enrollment in a Waushara County school for each child in their family (report cards, registration, etc.).
Organized by the Waushara County Department of Human Services Back to School Bash committee, the event helps families prepare their children for school by providing community children with the tools they need to begin the school year ready to learn.
The Back to School Bash is possible due to volunteer and financial support received from individuals, businesses, faith communities and civic organizations.
