2012 County Resource Page – Today’s Insert

Knowing where to turn can offer comfort and direction when an unexpected crisis occurs or when taking charge of life’s challenges. The Waushara Prevention Council, Inc. publishes information to keep residents informed of resources available to help. The 2012 Waushara County Resources page included in today’s paper is one such publication.

The bright yellow insert, designed to be kept in your home for future reference, can connect you to information when you need it. The page includes listings of crisis/emergency; food; discounted clothing; housing; legal; health; migrant, seasonal farm worker or Hispanic; transportation and general services. It is available on line at www.co.waushara.wi.us by clicking the “Help for You and Your Family” button or “Ayuda para usted y su familia” for Spanish

This updated information will soon be available in a condensed format designed to fit in a pocket, billfold or purse. A FREE pocket resource cards, available in English or Spanish, will be distributed throughout Waushara County and can be requested by contacting the Council. In addition, the Council is developing a publication, “Help for Hard Times” for individuals who are struggling financially.

Community groups supporting this initiative include Alliant Energy Foundation, Heart of Wisconsin United Way, the Salvation Army, and Wautoma Rotary.

The Waushara Prevention Council, Inc. works to facilitate effective prevention programs serving Waushara County. Providing important resource information to area residents is one of many projects implemented by the Council to address identified community needs.
