Volunteer Management Essentials-The Basics

(Marshfield, WI)- Management of volunteers can be difficult especially when you are new to managing volunteers, but Volunteer Wisconsin AmeriCorps, together with Bonnie Andrews from the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee, is offering a free, four-hour training session on the basics of volunteer management in Eau Claire on November 19, in Superior on November 20, in Omro on December 1, and in Baraboo on December 2.

This training is designed for new volunteer managers and those wanting to review best practices and strategies to recruit and manage volunteers. Furthermore, this training examines the basic onboarding process, trends, retention, and organizational culture. At the end of the training, attendees will receive tools and basic forms to use as a quick start for engaging volunteers in their organization.

All four regional trainings sessions have limited seating so register for one today! Visit the Volunteer Wisconsin website at www.VolunteerWisconsin.org  for more details and to register.

Volunteer Wisconsin is a collaborative initiative between Marshfield Clinic, Serve Wisconsin and Volunteer Centers to connect volunteers, promote volunteering and support the capacity of nonprofits through volunteers.  At www.VolunteerWisconsin.org, volunteers and nonprofits can connect and volunteer recognition and training opportunities are offered. Additionally, through the Marshfield Clinic Volunteer Wisconsin AmeriCorps program, 45 individuals are placed with Wisconsin nonprofits for one year to build and strengthen their volunteer programs.
