Flu Shots Available

The seasonal flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It is primarily spread by coughing, sneezing and other close contact. Each season the flu causes millions of illnesses, hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations, and thousands of deaths. Some people, such as older individuals, young children and people with certain health conditions are at risk for severe flu complications. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting vaccinated each year.

Because flu season is quickly approaching, flu shots are now available by appointment, at the Waushara County Health Department. The office is located at 230 West Park Street in Wautoma. Call 920-787-6590 to schedule your visit today!
