Articles-
The following articles are set:
February – Fall prevention in the winter months – Amanda
March – A+ program, Deb will collaborate with Amanda and Pat.
April – AARP, Senior Driving Classes – Helen
May – Food Drive at Senior Dining Centers June 13th to the 24th – Amanda (will also get out flyers with dates to be posted at meal sites
June – Farm Markets, Community Gardens, Vouchers, Farm to Table, things to do, places to go – Amanda will talk with Patrick Nehring
July – Report on the drive/food pantry – Amanda
August – Alzheimer’s Awareness Month – Ask Sue Seefeldt about writing an article
September – Article will be written about the upcoming Community Fair – Deb and Amanda
October – Trails and Parks assessment – Amanda
November – Diabetes Awareness Month – Amanda
December –

1.) Article Ideas for 2016
- Nutrition articles
- Physical activity
- Medication Education
- UW-Extension write an article about community gardens
- Where people can get BMO seeds – organic gardening
2.) Areas of Priorities for 2016 (Prevention Council meeting)
- Older adults and technology: refer to Fox Valley Tech
- A+ program: Deb is working with Kendra and will promote ideas on how senior citizens can get involved in the A+ Program. An article will be posted in the Loose Ends, at the Meal Sites and possibly churches.
- Trails and parks assessment:
- Committee members will start to visit parks this spring: Lake Alpine park on May 10. We will meet at the park at 2:00. Pat will pick up Helen and Bev at the Senior Center at 1:45.
Carole is gone until April. Deb said Carole will most likely offer painting classes on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month in the afternoon. Time TBD. The cost will be $1.50
Trevor – Amanda will contact Trevor and see if he would be able to talk at the meal sites on Health and the Brain, Making Healthy Choices the Easy Choice, Coloring and how it helps the brain.
- Increasing members
Deb will contact Chelsie Vezina, Wausahra Area Chamber of Commerce Director and Amanda will contact Liah Van Gompel, Family Health L Clinica Health Educator to see if they would like to join the committee.
Next Meeting’s Topics:
A+ Program – advertising and seeing if people want to be involved once a month. Goal is to get two groups, each one helping once a month

Follow up with technology offerings
